FAQ

  • What is the philosophy behind your ingredient choices?

We keep it balanced—nature where it works, science where it’s needed. Our formulas are made with over 90% natural ingredients, including organic and wild-harvested sources, alongside a few carefully chosen synthetics (like Dimethicone, Hyaluronic Acid, and Panthenol) to make sure everything feels and performs just right

  • What is the shelf life of your products?

Our products, such as Luna de Miel Hydrating Glow Serum, No.6 Beauty Primer, and Prêt-à-Repair, have a shelf life of 12 months after opening (PAO).

To ensure optimal effectiveness, our oil blends are made fresh in small batches, prioritizing quality over mass production. The No.2 Night Repair Elixir has a 6-month shelf life after opening (PAO), which is why it comes in a smaller 15ml bottle—this way, you can enjoy it at its peak freshness. The Erica Face and Body Elixir has a 9-month shelf life after opening (PAO).

To maintain the quality of our products, we recommend storing them in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight.

  • What essential oils do you use in your skincare products?

We use a carefully selected range of GC/MS-tested essential oils that meet our standards for both safety and performance. Each one is chosen for its gentle, skin-friendly properties—nothing just for the sake of fragrance. For example, we use Rose Otto, which can cost $1,334 CAD per ounce (sometimes more, depending on market conditions). While we could use Rose Absolute, we go with Rose Otto because it offers better anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits for the skin.

  • Why do you limit the use of certain essential oils?

Not all essential oils play nicely with the skin, so we stick to ones that are gentle and effective. Some oils can be too strong for the face, so we leave them out to keep our formulas balanced and kind to your skin.

  • How do you ensure essential oils in your products are safe for sensitive skin?

We believe in using essential oils sparingly and intentionally—because less is often more in skincare. Our formulas use low concentrations to maximize benefits while keeping the risk of irritation low. While essential oils naturally contain compounds like linalool, citronellol, and geraniol, the levels in our products are minimal and meet all safety guidelines.

If you have sensitive skin, a patch test is always a good idea. Our goal is to create skincare that’s gentle, effective, and works for most skin types.

  • Why do you use silicones like Dimethicone and Cyclopentasiloxane in some of your products?

We use lightweight silicones like Dimethicone and Cyclopentasiloxane because they enhance texture, lock in moisture, and give skin a smooth, breathable finish—without heaviness.

Cyclopentasiloxane is fast-evaporating, which gives a silky, weightless feel and makes for a seamless makeup base. Dimethicone helps condition the skin, creating a soft barrier that holds in hydration without clogging pores.

Both are non-comedogenic, safe for sensitive skin, and work alongside other ingredients to boost performance. Every ingredient we use has a purpose—so if it’s in the formula, it’s there for a reason.

  • Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. We formulate with gentle, skin-loving ingredients like Rose Water, Aloe Vera, and Jojoba Oil—all known for their soothing and hydrating properties. While our products are designed to be effective yet gentle, everyone’s skin is different. If you’re sensitive, a patch test is always a good idea.

  • Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes, all our products are vegan and cruelty-free. We never test on animals, and we carefully select ingredients that are free from animal-derived components.

  • Can I combine your products with other steps in my beauty routine?

Of course! Our products are versatile and easy to layer, whether you’re using them on their own or as part of your usual routine. They’re designed to seamlessly fit in and enhance whatever you’re already doing.
