The Florés Bride
I studied at CMU College of Makeup Art & Design and have spent nearly twenty years working as a makeup artist. My work has always sat in a very specific place, closer to editorial natural makeup than traditional bridal.
My inspiration comes from French, Japanese, and Korean beauty, Renaissance portraiture, backstage beauty. And from something Frida Kahlo wrote that I've never quite been able to put down: "I leave you my portrait so that you will have my presence all the days and nights that I am away from you."
What I take from all of it is how much a face can hold. Everything is thought through, but nothing takes over. The skin has life. The colour feels natural to the face. There is shape where it belongs. The person is still fully there.
For bridal, I look at your skin, your features, your dress, the light, the setting, and the way you want to feel. Every choice has a reason: where the colour sits, how much shape the eye needs, what should be softened, and what should be left alone.
And that, for me, is everything
The Experience
We start with a trial.
Usually about two hours. Time to look at your skin, talk through what you like, what you don't, and what feels like you. I want to see how your skin takes colour, how much shape feels right, and where the makeup needs to stay soft.
On the wedding day, I come to you. Home, hotel, wherever you're getting ready. I arrive early, so there's room to settle in, make small adjustments, and finish without rushing.
You'll leave with a small Florés edit. Chosen for the day, and beyond it.
Bookings for F/W 2026 are now open.
I'd love to work with you. Share a few details below and I'll be in touch within two business days.
